We invite KTU researchers, academics, and staff interested in citizen science to participate in the annual CAPS 2026 conference, organized by the Association for Advancing Participatory Sciences (AAPS), taking place on 26–29 May.
CAPS 2026 is an annual conference bringing together researchers, educators, project managers, community leaders, and policy-makers from around the world. The opening keynote will be delivered by Prof. Kate Devlin and will focus on the social impact of emerging technologies, including the ethical and societal implications of artificial intelligence and the relationship between humans and technology. The programme also includes sessions on sustainable funding for citizen science projects, long-term environmental monitoring, and publishing participatory (citizen science) research in academic journals.
As the conference will be held online, it is accessible to researchers and practitioners worldwide, including Lithuania. For Lithuanian researchers, CAPS 2026 offers an excellent opportunity to present citizen science initiatives to an international audience.
Members of European Citizen Science Association are eligible for discounted registration fees available to AAPS members.
More information and the full conference programme are available on the CAPS 2026 website.
