Users who borrowed books from the Civil Engineering and Architecture Library can return the books (I-V from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., VI from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.) in Informatics library (Studentų st. 50).

Users who would like to borrow or return books after Chemical Technology library opening hours are over can do it (I-V until 9 p.m., VI 6 p.m.) in the lobby of the faculty (Faculty of Chemical Technology, Radvilėnų rd. 19).

Library study spaces and reading rooms are open for visitors, users have a possibility to book group work rooms in advance. In each premise can work no more than 2 people!

Users can order books and extend the loan term in virtual library or electronic catalogue. Users must in advance order the books after the order is fulfilled, users will be notified by e-mail. The order will be fulfilled in 24 hours. Ordered books will be preserved for 3 work days during library opening hours or later if a user had a different agreement with a library employees by e-mail biblioteka@ktu.lt.

Researchers and PhD students can borrow books from the reading rooms. Students can read books that are located in the reading rooms only in the library premises.

Students who study remotely and are currently located in other cities have a possibility to return books using Omniva postal services: choose Omniva parcel machine „Kauno EXPRESS MARKET Donelaičio paštomatas“ (address K. Donelaičio st. 44A, Kaunas, 55512). If you have questions, please contact us by phone + 370 616 7172.

From 2020-11-07 until 2021-09-05 library fines for items not returned on time will not be calculated.

Researchers and PhD students who want to borrow books from the reading room or newly purchased books (books that are not included in the e-catalogue) should contact by e-mail biblioteka@ktu.lt or contact a subject librarian. After the order is fulfilled, users will be notified by e-mail.

Please follow the regulations no. 157 “PREREQUISITES REGARDING LIBRARIES AND NATIONAL ARCHIVES WORK ORGANIZATION“ created by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.

  • in the library and (or) the reading room people must put on nose and mouth covering protection (face masks, respirators or other items) that completely covers nose and mouth. People with disabilities are allowed not use masks, as well as people who can not use masks due to their medical condition when using a mask might have a negative impact on persons health (it is recommended to wear a face shield);
  • next to the entrance to the Library and (or) the reading room people should maintain distance no less than 2 meters;
  • in the reading room people should not stay in groups of more than 2 people and maintain no more than 2 meters distance;
  • if a person has symptoms of acute respiratory infection (fever, cough, heavy breathing) he should not be visiting library as well as during the period of compulsory isolation;
  • if a person being in the library felt symptoms of acute respiratory infection (fever, cough, heavy breathing) he should immediately leave the library and (or) the reading room and contact Coronavirus Hotline by phone 1808 or contact your family doctor;
  • in the library it is not allowed to move furniture (desks, tables etc.) as the distance among furniture in the library was increased in order to ensure safe distance between people.
