We invite members of the KTU community to the second webinar in the “ALMASI” discussion series on scholar-led publishing: “From Preprints to Publication: How Community-Driven Models Are Reshaping Scholarly Communication.”
This seminar will explore how community-driven scholarly publishing models are evolving across Africa, Europe, and Latin America. The discussion will address key concepts of open science, including preprints, open peer review, and curation, while also examining how non-profit, scholar-led initiatives can operate under the principles of Diamond Open Access.
Drawing on perspectives from the three regions represented within ALMASI, participants are invited to reflect on how scholarly communication is being reimagined and strengthened as a community-driven endeavor.
