Seminar in University of Tartu Library „How to Get the Maximum from Research Data – Prerequisites and Outcomes”

University of Tartu Library, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Estonian Social Sciences Data Archive (ESTA) will hold the seminar “How to Get the Maximum from Research Data – Prerequisites and Outcomes” at the University of Tartu Library (W. Struve 1) on 29 and 30 May 2018.

On 29 May, the seminar will start at 13.00.
Participants will discuss the problems of the common data space of European social sciences, the economic efficiency of reusing data, the new data protection regulations applied in Europe, the ethical aspects of data management, and the acquisition, evaluation and using of suitable data. The working language of the seminar is English.

On 30 May, the seminar will start at 9.00.
Participants will get familiar with the general principles of drawing the data management plans and new web solutions offered by ESTA (Estonian Social Sciences Data Archive) (these parts of the seminar are conducted in Estonian). Irena Vipavc Brvar and Veerle Van den Eynden will hold workshops discussing data and data management.
