On 29 September, the European Commission announced the winners of the 2026 European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA). Each year, the award recognises projects that stand out for their innovative approaches and significant impact on the education system.
Among this year’s award recipients is the “Higher education resilience in refugee crises: forging social inclusion through capacity building, civic engagement and skills recognition (AGILE)” project, implemented by Kaunas University of Technology Library in collaboration with partners from France, Greece, Slovenia, Poland, Ukraine and Germany. The KTU project team consisted of Assoc. prof. dr Gintarė Tautkevičienė, Assoc. prof. dr Edita Štuopytė and Lina Kerutienė, who were responsible for implementing the project activities.
This recognition represents an important acknowledgement of the project’s international cooperation, innovative solutions, and contribution to fostering a more inclusive higher education system.
