Today, KTU Libraries hosted introductory tours for first-year students. During the tours, students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the library spaces, available services, and essential information that will support them throughout their studies.
Students learned about electronic resources, library catalogue and publication search options, study space reservations, items borrowing and returning procedures, and other services provided by the library. Students were also introduced to information resources and support opportunities designed to help them study effectively and complete academic assignments.
First-year students also received digital badges recognising the competencies they acquired through non-formal learning.
We hope that today’s tours will encourage first-year students to make confident use of the opportunities offered by KTU Libraries, discover spaces designed for studying and independent work, and make the library a regular part of their academic journey throughout their studies.
