EBSCO training sessions in May

Members of the KTU community are kindly invited to register and participate in these EBSCO trainings:

  • New! Mathematics Source Now Available on EBSCOhost. The first training session on searching in Mathematics Source — a new EBSCO database launched in early April 2025. During the training, we will discuss in detail the database’s resources, we will show examples of journals and magazines, discuss options for working with a thesaurus, and present searches covering topics such as algebra, combinatorics, differential equations, dynamical systems, geometry, number theory, probability, signal processing, statistics, and more.

  • EBSCOhost – Effective Support for Writing Theses and Dissertations. Training designed for students working on their bachelor’s and master’s theses. Join the session to explore the new platform interface, learn about logging in and remote access, explore options for limiting results, downloading full text, translating articles, citing, and placing publications in the cloud.

  • New EBSCO Databases in the Sciences: Mathematics Source, Inspec with Full Text, and Petroleum Source. Join the training session showcasing three newly available EBSCO databases. This is a great opportunity to discover powerful tools supporting research and study in mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, and petroleum-related fields.

  • What’s New on EBSCO Platforms: AI Features, Scopus Citations, and Natural Language Search. Join the training session to discover the latest updates on EBSCO platforms:
    – AI Insights: Summarizes publications using artificial intelligence
    – Scopus Time Citations: Displays citation counts and includes a link to the Scopus platform
    – Natural Language Search: Enables users to search using everyday language instead of complex keywords or Boolean operators
