KTU citizen science expert Prof. Dr. E. Butkevičiene, together with Dr. L. Tauginiene and international fellow scientists Barbara Heinisch, Luciano Massetti, Francesca Ugolini, and Snežana Popov, has published a recent article on citizen science titled “Making Responsible Research and Innovation Meaningful in Citizen Science”. The article examines about what aspects of Citizen Science (CS) make the involvement of researchers (implementing CS projects) meaningful in terms of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) principles. We explore these based on our conceptual framework of meaningfulness. The article highlights the importance of ethics, inclusivity, and openness in creating a meaningful contribution to citizen science (for more details about the article, see Loreta Tauginiene’s LinkedIn).
