Webinar “University approaches to Citizen Science in the transition to Open Science”

Important | 2020-11-20

We kindly invite to register and participate in the EUA and OpenAIRE joint online workshop on citizen science, on December 9-10th. Participants will address challenges and opportunities, as well as explore how citizen science can benefit from and add to the transition to Open Science.

The first session (December 9th, 11-13) of this joint workshop will discuss themes around institutional support for citizen science. The aim is to exchange experiences, lessons learnt and explore common challenges. Participating universities will have the opportunity to share expertise, coordinate efforts and exchange advice on services, tools and legal and ethical issues.

The second session (December 10th, 11-12.30) will offer an opportunity to discuss examples, guidelines and good practices from Open Science experiences.

The aim of the workshop is to foster a deeper understanding of how universities can use these opportunities and address the challenges of Citizen Science as part of their mission.

The webinar will be of interest to institutional leaders (rectors, vice-rectors and heads of administration), research department staff, as well as representatives of other organisations.
