LibKey – Quicker access to e-articles in the KTU virtual library

We invite members of the university community to trial the LibKey tool, which has been integrated into the KTU virtual library for testing purposes, until May 15. This tool has been developed to simplify access to full-text scientific articles.

LibKey allows you to open a PDF file or journal page with a single click. After performing a search in the KTU virtual library, you will see links next to the selected article: Download Article; View Journal Cantents; Read Article.

Using LibKey, you can expect:

• Faster access to full-text articles. The article in PDF format is accessed with one click.
• Accessibility check. The tool automatically identifies whether the library has access to a specific publication and provides a link to the accessible version.
• Clearer interfaces. Additional elements are provided in the search results – icons, direct links.

Other Libkey tools for testing:

• BrowZine – allows you to browse journals subscribed to by KTU.
• io – quick article search by DOI or PubMed ID.
• LibKey Nomad – a browser plugin that automatically shows whether the library has access to the full text of a scientific article and allows you to quickly open or download it. More about this extension and how to install it in your web browser.
