Students from Utenos kolegija visited the Social Sciences and Humanities Library.
Auksė Patackienė, the subject librarian of the Readers’ Services, presented the Library’s spaces: the Readers’ Hall, the Silent Reading Room, the group work rooms, the recreation areas and the services provided: borrowing of publications to the home or using them on the spot, reservation of group work rooms, and the activities of subject librarians.
Edita Korzonaitė, the head of the Rare Publications Group, showed the book storage rooms, introduced the features of the formation of the print collection during the interwar period, told about the printing of books from the earliest period of printing – incunabula, introduced fragments of libraries of famous people or estates, and the variety of book bindings or ownership marks.
