OpenAIRE Train the Trainer Bootcamp

Important | 2024-02-26

Starting in 2022, we have been hosting the five-day Train-the-Trainer Bootcamp for Open Science trainers twice a year.

This collaborative learning experience allows participants to improve their communication and teaching skills in order to effectively train others on Open Science concepts (such as researchers, research support, students, and so on). The training is designed to foster confidence and provide trainees with the skills necessary to answer difficult questions.

This is an intermediate level training and assumes some basic knowledge of Open Science principles. Some of its learning objectives are to:

  • develop an in-depth understanding of Open Science, Open Data, Data Management Plans (DMPs), Open Access publishing, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Horizon Europe requirements, OpenAIRE services, and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC);
  • improve skills to effectively communicate and teach these concepts to researchers, research support, students or any other stakeholders;
  • get familiar with various tools and software that support best practices in Open Science;
  • build confidence and gain the competencies to handle challenging questions;
  • foster a community of trainers by providing a platform for networking and collaboration.

The deadline for applications is March 17, 2024.

Results will be announced on March 29, 2024

The bootcamp will take place from May 13 to 17, 2024.
