University community members can borrow and return books. Library reading rooms and study spaces are closed for visitors, group work room reservation is not available.

To order books or to extend the borrowing period visit Virtual library or e-catalogue. Users can borrow only those books that were ordered in advance, when order will be fulfilled user will be notified by e-mail. Ordered books will be preserved for 3 work days after the user received an e-mail or later if a user had a different agreement with a library employee by e-mail biblioteka@ktu.lt.

From the 10th of March, 2021 users can borrow and return books in the library.

Library opening hours I-IV 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., V 9 a.m. – 3.45 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday Central library and faculty libraries are closed.

To borrow and return books (I-V until 9 p.m., VI until 6 p.m.) users can in the lobby of the faculties.

Students who study remotely and are currently located in other cities have a possibility to return books using Omniva postal services: choose Omniva parcel machine „Kauno EXPRESS MARKET Donelaičio paštomatas“ (address K. Donelaičio st. 44A, Kaunas, 55512). If you have questions, please contact us by phone + 370 616 71725.

From 2020-11-07 until 2021-03-31 library fines for items not returned on time will not be calculated.

Researchers and PhD students who want to borrow books from the reading room or newly purchased books (books that are not included in the e-catalogue) should contact by e-mail biblioteka@ktu.lt or contact a subject librarian. After the order is fulfilled, users will be notified by e-mail.

We kindly invite our community members to use e-resources:  access our electronic resources, KTU Technology e-books via EZProzyVPN or KTU Virtual library. Please find more information here.

Researchers, PhD students, final year students can contact the Library and receive an excerpt from the book preserved in the reading rooms, in digital format. This service is provided following these requirements:

  • users should indicate a chapter of the book or pages that are necessary;
  • it is not possible to scan more than 5% of the book content or 1 publication of the journal;
  • service will be provided within 3 days.
