On December 5, the KTU Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities hosted the Science and Project Day “ProVERŽIS 2024”, dedicated to celebrating the research and project achievements of the faculty’s academic community. The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Eglė Butkevičienė, who discussed citizen science and the initiation and implementation of various citizen science projects. She presented guidelines for initiating and implementing citizen science projects and introduced the ongoing university project “Development of Citizen Science Activities at KTU”. Prof. Dr. Butkevičienė emphasized the library as a multidisciplinary space essential for encouraging researchers from various fields to engage in citizen science activities at the university. During practical workshops on preparing project proposals, she also shared her insights and experiences on successfully drafting project applications with the faculty community.
