At the CATALISI project event, discussions were held on citizen science and sustainability in research.

This week, Kaunas University of Technology hosted CATALISI project Twinning events, joined by colleagues from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), University College Cork, Universitat Jaume I, University of Gdansk, Luiss Guido Carli University.

During the event, Prof. Dr. Eglė Butkevičienė and the Director of the Library, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gintarė Tautkevičienė, together with representatives from KTU and foreign universities, discussed sustainability principles in scientific research, open science and open data practices at KTU, and research ethics. During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. G. Tautkevičienė emphasized that open data is an important step in engaging the public in science.

Participants also shared experiences on the implementation of citizen science policies at universities and discussed successful citizen science projects. This event strengthened international collaboration, facilitated the exchange of good practices, and encouraged joint efforts to create innovative solutions for the future of European universities.
