On 9 March 2026, the LIBER–OA2020 joint webinar will focus on how libraries share and manage the costs of national-level transformative open access agreements. The session will explore how countries are moving beyond subscription-based models and redesigning financial structures to better support open access. Speakers from across Europe will present how costs are distributed, budgets aligned, and governance models developed for national OA agreements. The webinar will also address how libraries balance cost efficiency with emerging priorities such as open research information and data privacy. Participants will gain practical insights into how library communities are preparing for a more sustainable and fully open scholarly communication system. More about webinar – here.
