Important | 2025-09-16

From September 15 to 17, 2025, the international Open Science FAIR 2025 conference takes place at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The event focuses on the development of open science, the application of artificial intelligence, and the strengthening of collaborative research culture.

The conference attracted over 400 participants from around the world, including researchers, research infrastructure developers, policy makers, and technology experts. The three-day program is featuring keynote presentations, discussions, and hands-on workshops covering topics ranging from scientific data infrastructure to the reform of research assessment systems and citizen science —all aimed at shaping a more sustainable, transparent, and inclusive future for science.

Three representatives of Kaunas University of Technology are participating at the conference: Dr. Gintarė Tautkevičienė, Director of the Library; Aistė Pranckutė, Head of the Research Information services; and Professor Eglė Butkevičienė, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities.

The main sessions of the Open Science FAIR conference are available to follow online.
