KTU researchers have the opportunity to receive discounts on the Article Processing Charge (APC):
- ACS (American Chemistry Society) – scientific journals in the chemical sciences. Free publication in all ACS journals, including hybrid journals and all fully open access journals. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026. List of Journals.
- Emerald Premier eJournals Collection – scientific journals in the collections of social and technological sciences. Under the license agreement, 15 vouchers are available for the publication of articles in open access. The contract is valid until December 31, 2026. List of Journals.
- Oxford University Press – scientific journals in the natural sciences, technology, social sciences and humanities, 14 vouchers are available under the license agreement for the publication of articles in open access. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026. List of Journals.
- IOP Science – scientific journals in the natural sciences, free publication in open access IOP hybrid journals. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026. List of Journals.
- John Benjamins – scientific journals in linguistics, communication, translation, literature, and related humanities and social sciences. Free open access publishing in all John Benjamins journals. The contract is valid until December 31, 2026. List of Journals.
- SAGE – scientific journals in the social sciences and humanities, free publishing in hybrid journals belonging to the SAGE Premier 2016 collection and a 20% discount on fully open access journals. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026.
- SAGE IMechE – scientific journals in mechanical engineering, 200 GBP (~230 EUR) discount applies. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026. List of Journals.
- RSC (Royal Society of Chemistry) – scientific journals of chemical sciences, 5 vouchers are available under a licensing agreement for the publication of articles free in open access hybrid journals. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026. List of Journals.
The international organisation EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) has agreed with these publishers on discounts for Lithuanian researchers:
- Brill – scientific journals in the social sciences and humanities, 60% discount for Lithuanian authors, fully open access and hybrid publications. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026.
- Microbiology Society – hybrid and fully open access journals in the natural sciences. Authors from Lithuania are not subject to article processing charges. The contract is valid until December 31, 2027.
- Taylor&Francis – journals in social sciences, applied sciences, humanities, etc. A 50% discount is applied to authors from Lithuania in fully open access journals. The contract is valid until December 31, 2028.
- World Scientific – scientific journals in the social and natural sciences, 50% discount for Lithuanian authors in fully open access and hybrid journals. The contract is valid until 31 December 2026.
