We kindly invite all the members of KTU academic community to Presentation of “Letters to the Vegetarian Son” by Dr Dario Martinelli, Professor at Kaunas University of Technology, on Thursday, 7th of December, 2017 at 4 p. m. The language of the event is English. Moderator: Professor Dr Eglė Butkevičienė. Place: Room 206 at the Central Library of Kaunas University of Technology (K. Donelaičio st. 20).
It took Dario three years to write these letters to his son. For Dario, the animalistic theme underlies the philosophy of life. The author criticizes not only contemporary relationships of human beings and animals but also the self-satisfaction which is frequent among defenders of animal rights.
Professor Dario Martinelli is a semiotician, musicologist, composer and a recipient of numerous awards. Ecosystem, zoomusic, zoosemiotics and contemporary culture studies are among his fields of interest.
